Eleventh Annual «BESEDA» Conference. WiMAX Marathon. July 5-6, 2006 Holiday Inn Moscow - Vinogradovo

CompTek and ‘Wireless Data Transmission Networks’ ADE Committee will conduct an Annual BESEDA Conference on July 5-6 2006 at Holiday Inn – Vinogradovo Hotel. ( hotel location )

The original BESEDA name stands for Wireless Data Transmission Networks in Russian. This year the traditional BESEDA Conference has got subtitle ‘WiMAX Marathon’ and is devoted to broadband wireless access issues in Russia and CIS.

The Russian BWA market is very promising. During more than 10 years of its existence, there appeared over 300 big metropolitan BWA networks carriers — spread all over Russia territory — from Kaliningrad to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. The country’s territory is vast, wires are not everywhere, which makes the perspectives for wireless networks development very optimistic.

One of the most prominent features of this Conference is that state official bodies’ representatives take part in its work. The public and state ‘Association of Documental Electronics’ has been organized under Russian Federation Government order and is working since 1994. BESEDA Conference is part of ADE. BESEDA Committee makes proposals for facilitating the procedure of distributing radio frequencies in Russia. Thus Conference participants get the unique opportunity of influencing the laws which regulate their activities.

The principal goal for ‘WiMAX Marathon’ is to determine the direction of BWA market development. No one feels doubts about the prospect for BWA, yet it’s vital to understand which technology will dominate in the nearest future: WiMAX, WiBro, HSDPA, or some other.
